NEW SQUASH FITNESS SESSIONS
Group or individual sessions in an outdoor space!
These sessions are run on any day of the week until 30th July 2020. After this date I will be reviewing my timetable.
Participants can either arrange a group of up to 5 players to attend a session together or sign up individually. If participants sign up individually they will be allocated a suitable group.
Who can be in a group?
Groups can be made up of families, teams or friends! Currently Clare is running weekly sessions for Reigate Squash Club Vets team, Reigate Squash Club Men's 3rd team, Ladies team sessions as well as 2 junior groups and families with parent and kids aged 5, 10 and 12!
What do the sessions involve?
At the beginning we discuss warming up before matches (and any other sport!) and run through all the stretches and mobility exercises that you should be doing!
We work on quickening our footwork through using the training ladder, cones and hurdles.
Our main focus during these sessions is building up the strength in the muscles we use during squash. Over the lockdown period it is likely that these muscles have not been used since their last squash match so will need to gradually start working again. For this we practice our court movement through ghosting and lunges.
Some sessions will include a full body workout - press ups, plank, sit ups etc.
We practice sprints through competitive races!
To finish the session we all stretch and cool down.
How long is each session?
Each session lasts 50 minutes to and hour.
How do I arrange a session?
